Description
Vintage (sometimes called antique) fishing tackle is a hot collector's item and is only gaining in popularity. At the top of the list are old, wooden lures which are highly valued when in pristine condition. There are favorite colors, makers, and styles. Saltwater plugs have a serious and dedicated following. We enjoy these old pieces of history, but I differ from my husband in that I love the battered and worn ones that show the scars of battles with feisty fish and the handling by avid fishermen. I even have one I found on the beach that is barely recognizable. It may show up here sometime in the future as I am totally taken with it.
This Floyd Roman Nike was probably made in the 1940's. The picture overlays a photo of the beach at sunset with the edge of a rod carrier in the corner.

Alright, you are trying to hook me with these lures, whats got me hooked is the presentation, which I find absolutely brilliant. I'm waiting for the one you found...v/f

I have a lot of these and don't want to flood the site, so I'm picking some interesting lures (at least in my opinion). Thank you for carrying in these good "tide" ings (V/F, I mean).
