Description
This simple=looking but extremely effective lure could be used two ways - your line could be tied to the front of the lure or tied to the back. This quote is taken from the website linked below.

"Bass Bomb Bait Company
Dighton, Mass.
The Bass Bomb Bait Company manufactured a lure called the bass bomb. This bait was built for distance casting and with a weight of 3 3/4 oz's, it would really reach out and touch them. This lure was designed so that you could change the hook from rear to front and front to rear; thus creating a new action; it was like having two lures in one. The box has some really great graphics and important information on it; such as a copyright date of 1949; not much else is known about the company at this time."

My father was a fly fisherman his whole life. Even when they moved to Florida, he loved his light lines and lures. Many a tarpon carried them away!!! Lovely image...with the textures of bark and sea! F/L++

Fly fishing is an art form as much as a sport - I love watching (can't do it myself) and dedicated fly fishermen even toe their own flies!
