Description
This trawler is heading home through Barnegat Inlet after a long day of fishing. The crew is probably weary, but the gulls are excited, circling the boat, and screaming for tidbits.

Another beautiful memory looking at this beautiful picture...Every other weekend,my mom dad and I would go fishing on the docks for smelts ,in Plymouth Mass. .My dad grew up there , and his first cousin owned a few of these trawlers.....I remember watching the boats as they were coming in all the seagulls following !! lol It was so exciting !! ..My dads cousin would always give us fresh flounder and cod. and huge scallops too ..always something different ...Gosh I miss those days,,,,I am in tears .reliving those memories.VF

Well, I think I'm glad you were in tears reliving old memories - as long as they brought joy! Isn't it funny how the ocean is always in your blood no matter where you live:>). It is beautiful here in PA, and I miss the trees and boulders when I'm away, but I miss the ocean when I'm here - sigh. Yup - you need a visit to the ocean!!!!
