Description
This lovely little wildflower is often called Spotted or Striped Wintergreen. It grows best in sandy soils or well-drained woods, and it blooms in July and August in our area. The dark green leaves with the light stripes are the leaves for this plant. The light green leaves are wild Lily of theValley plants. To learn more, click on the link below.

I took this picture July 18, 2009, in Quissett, Massachusetts, USA, with an Olympus FE240 set to macro. The habitat there is sandy woods.
