Description
This picture was taken at Green Lane Reservoir in East Greenville, Pennsylvania, USA. Parts of the reservoir are shallow and filled with big, fat, happy carp that swim around spawning and feeding without a care in the world (except, perhaps, the eagles who've been nesting there for a few years).
I'm not sure if this circling around is spawning behavior because there is usually only one fish involved and it can be done almost any time of year. Ah, sweet mystery of life:>)
This fish was about 8 pounds and created a wonderful abstract for me to share with you:>)

The carp is a favorite in Chinese art. I remember copying this very design....so geometric and fun. Your photograph is super nice....the ripples and the texture of the water would be marvelous if the photo were H U G E. There are even bubbles!!!! and foam. Lovely. f/v

Wonderful! I like to imagine that it is an aerial shot of a huge sea serpent churning up the waters.
Carol Senske replied:
Perhaps this is the answer to the Loch Ness monster!!! I think you've got it!!! By George, you've got it:>)
