Description
This type of viburnum (Viburnum acerifolium) is a perennial, deciduous shrub that grows to around 6 feet high. It flowers in late springtime with clusters of tiny white flowers that fill the shrub; then the berries form in cluster of red, turning deep blue in the fall. They grow best in partial shade along the edges of woods, and they prefer rich, moist, and well-drained soil. Ours thrive on the margins of the hardwood forests in our area.
The trees and berries offer shelter and food for wildlife, and because of their handsome flowers, berries, and fall foliage, they are often grown in landscape plantings where sunshine is at a minimum.

Very nice Carol

This is the amazing color they put on for fall, different from the yellows, oranges, and reds of the trees around them so they stand out. Thank you for your visit!
