Artist's Description
These day-flying moths are usually noticed when they do a lot of damage to grape leaves in a garden. We have wild grape vines, so the moths are among us here in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA. They are not terribly numerous and so do not do damage that would concern us here. They are broadly found in the eastern half of the USA and up into Ontario, Canada.

I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. What a great capture of a great looking insect! I love that long, fringed body and the antennae are spectacular. I notice you say it is found in Ontario. I'm going to Ottawa, Ontario next weekend - wish me luck! Ha!
