Description
This is a moment in springtime when the trees are beginning to awaken and show their flowers. The backdrop is the pond which slowly is closing in because of the water lilies and other aquatic plants. I'm watching transition in real time.
Our area has a number of townships and organizations that are striving to preserve open space. My thanks to them:>)
I used a texture by Shadowhouse Creations and one of mine along with tweaks in Photoshop.

Beautiful composition, color contrasts, textures and editing! I enjoyed reading your comments. I love water lilies, cattails, etc. but the drawback is that they do sometimes overtake completely their environment, just as it appears we humans may be doing also to our planet earth. V/F
Carol Senske replied:
Oh, yeah! Our creek had a bloom of an invasive alien aquatic plant called water chestnut (Trapa natans L.). Fortunately, people were on it immediately and it appears it is in hand for now. Always a battle and mankind can be part of the problem.
