Description
I would call them a tree more than a bush, and it appears they can get to be 15 feet high and 12 feet around - pretty big for a shrub. Those that grow in our area are generally about 10 feet tall and 6 to 8 feet across (when they are really happy). They enjoy some shade and a fairly moist situations. Again, ours like the earth on the forest floor so I'd say loose, rich earth is their preference.
Blooming time is April and the flowers range from almost white to a nice pink.
I used a texture from Shadowhouse Creations to enhance the image. I changes colors, tweaked transparencies of a couple layers, and hoped to end up with a chabby chic look for these beautiful flowers.
What a marvelous way to celebrate Spring!
