Description
Chicory grows wild in waste areas, meadows, field, and roadsides where there is plenty of sunlight. I love the mix of chicory and Queen Anne's Lace, especially when the chicory is the normal, blue color set against the lacy white. There are many common names for chicory of which cornflower is one of the most used.
This is a plant of many uses. The roots are dried and ground to add to coffee; the leaves are used in salad; it is used as a forage supplement of livestock to help reduce intestinal worms - wwwww.

Dedicated to the universal use of plants we call "weeds". They are often more useful than we realize!
