Description
This is our second feral boy, BobCat (affectionately called Bob), who has no trouble relaxing:>) . He's come a long way from when we first meet him and he decided to adopt us.
II trapped him and gave him to a rescue organization with a huge donation. His sweet nature made me believe he'd be the perfect pet for someone. The organization did all the things they could - neutered him, had the vet check him out, gave him shots, but he just would not act tame. They called and said he'd . have to become a "barn cat".
I couldn't stand the thought of that so we adopted him back with a huge donation. LOL . He is worth more than the most pure, pure-bred!
His story is here, if you care to visit my blog and read about him and Spot, our first feral boy.
I need to thank the many folks who took time to visit my blog and read about our two feral kitties. These boys are a joy.
I wrote about them because they were, and in some ways still are, a challenge. I hope to show people that love, time, and patience will result in huge rewards. Taking in a “rescue” animal of any sort is a wonderful thing to do, but be sure you have some idea of what you will face.
Many of these animals were terribly abused and/or never knew a human they could trust. Our “boys” were feral – never socialized but lived on the periphery of human habitation. I don’t think they were physically abused which made their progress easier, perhaps, than an animal treated poorly. Trust can only be earned, but, when given, must not be shattered.
Anyway – for anybody who would like to read about the kitties, here are the URLs for the four parts and post script:>)
Once again, thank you. When it comes time to consider a pet, please think about a rescue animal. Read the blog posts before you commit. There is no dishonor in adopting a lovely, social, domesticated pet! They, too, need loving homes :>)

You know my feelings about cats - but they don't stop me appreciating this lovely portrait!
Sue Capuano 23 Days Ago
So sweet!
Carol Senske replied:
The expression "gentle giant" applied perfectly to Bob. He weighed just about 20 pounds in his prime yet never, ever bit, scratched, or even growled. He really was a sweet kitty and I miss him.

How adorably sweet and tender! LF
Carol Senske replied:
Many thanks, Rachel. He passed on last April - can't even believe a year has gone by. It was so sad, but he's left his loving mark on everyone who knew him.

He is a Darling, and so sweet, what a wonderful image! I wish I could have more, but my limit is 2 at a time! Bless his little heart! L/F
Carol Senske replied:
He came in from the woods and would not leave! He chose us and wouldn't let go. We have two, just like you, and can't really add any more. Sadly, people just won't "fix" their cats. Thanks for stopping by to meet BobCat and giving him a verbal pat:>)
Marlin and Laura Hum

Carol Senske replied:
Thanks. He's a darling boy and we are grateful he could return to us in the end. It's been a few years now and we love him dearly.

Such a sweet capture and processing.
Carol Senske replied:
Thanks for the lovely comment, Bunny. He just jumped down from the sofa where he was snuggled up behind me:>)

What a precious image and wonderful story, blessings on you for giving them a home and all the challenging work you did to make it happen. I have also rehabbed two feral kittens and I know how hard it is to do. LF
Carol Senske replied:
