Hi Carol, winter is more like spring up here. Lots of rain to wash away most of the snow. I'm retired now and out looking for wildlife and photo ops. Found a Great Gray Owl on the second day of my retirement - not bad! Now I have more time to look at the great work on FAA too (like this shot)! Take care, Doris

Congratulations on your retirement! If you're like me, you'll never even look back, just enjoy what's ahead:>) WOW = a Great Gray Owl! I need to do more visiting. You'll find retirement gets pretty darn busy - LOL

Very nice Carol! I've only seen this lovely bird once. I was interested to read that they are now categorized as sandpipers.
Carol Senske replied:
Coming from a background of science, it's all to familiar. Just when you think yo have info right, the taxonomy is shifted - LOL. Thanks for the nice comment, Doris:>) How's the winter going up there?
