Description
These cute cup mushrooms are sometimes called "Peanut Butter Cups" because of how they look. DO NOT EAT ANY WILD MUSHROOM!
These grow happily in our woods which is loamy and moist with hardwood trees dominating. This picture was taken in July of 2011 with an Olympus FE 240 camera set to macro.

Never seen these here in Guelph. Green Lane PA is amazing for fungi.
Carol Senske replied:
We have terrific years and not-so-great years. Last year was a disaster; this year is an "okay" year. Four years ago I couldn't stop taking pictures there were so many! These are wonderful and there were a few this year but kind of sickly and not numerous.
