Description
Nobska Lighthouse sits on a bluff overlooking the entrance to Woods Hole Harbor. It's a favorite tourist stop and is usually crowded with people taking pictures. You can grab a seat on a bench and watch the sun rise or set in all it's coastal glory.

Nice shot - composition spot-on! Now I understand your love of seaside things :)

You're so nice to visit and browse and comment! I do appreciate it. Since I grew up here (well real close to here), right next to the ocean, it is a sense of visiting home when I view this.

My roommate in Boston was Patricia Jaskun. Her father owned the pharmacy in Woods Hole and I spent one Christmas there. Also my sister worked on Martha's Vineyard one summer so just about every other weekend, I'd be on the ferry. We both went back for one last look about ten years ago. It's quite the rage now!

Thank you so very much for the feature in All Places on the Atlantic Coast group - it's an honor, Allen!

I love Woods Hole, but never went to the lighthouse. You've captured that beautiful ocean light.....such a beautiful photograph!!! F/L++
Carol Senske replied:
We wanted to put my Mom s memorial bench at Nobska but the town said their was enough seating there already. We put it on the bike path at Quisssett Beach where you can see Nobska Point and the lighthouse. I grew up in Quissett. Thanks for the lovely comment, and if you go to Woods Hole again, stop in at Coffee O:>). Pie In The Sky is also a fun place.
