Description
This is Spot. He's our new kitten and what a fantastic kitty he is! He loves to be patted and even will allow us to hold him for a short time when he's tired. Mostly he runs through the downstairs growling at phantoms or carrying around crumpled newspaper balls.:>)
When he first came to us he was a terrified, sad, lonely feral kitten that missed his Mom, aunt, siblings and cousins. He cried piteously and continually for three days and nights, hissed, spat, bit, and we decided to take him back to his community for his sake and ours.
As fate would have it, however, we made contact that next morning. He let me touch him, then pat him, then even pat him while he was eating. We decided he was worth more time and Spot has made us his:>)
He is, of course, the smartest cat in the world which helps!
Now he climbs up the outside of the kitty playpen as if it were a ladder, then plays and naps on the top. He likes being HIGH UP.
Dedicated to the tiny, warm, soft body of a kitten or puppy or any pet that you love and that loves you back a thousand fold.

So adorable Carol! l/f
Carol Senske replied:
Thank you! We love him so much. At almlost 8 years old, he's a stubborn, super-smart, and even affectionate (especially at night on the bed). Grew into his own cat and that's for sure:>)

Love this! He is so cute!
Carol Senske replied:
He really is:>). The trouble is he's exceptionally smart (isn't everyone's kitty?) and has us wrapped around his paw!

Wonderful collage of Spot! I have also rescued feral kittens and it is such joy to see them transform into happy, healthy creatures. You are to be commended for your patience and dedication!
Carol Senske replied:
We are the beneficiaries in this deal - he's already wriggled his way into our hearts! To all of the people who've given homes to stray, feral, abandoned, or mistreated animals of any sort - you are WONDERFUL!

What a delight! Spot's fur looks so soft and shiny. He's going to be a beautiful cat...and I can tell by his look he's going to be a great one! My cat was abandoned and so tiny they fed her and her siblings with an eyedropper ....then off to foster homes and finally to us. It sounds like a Dickens novel!!! Enjoy. (They call the ones who like to be up high....tree cats.)
Carol Senske replied:
Well, we have Sequoia cat! He goes as high as he possibly can then looks up for way to get even higher - LOL. He is remarkable in his jumping prowess, and at 10 weeks (or so, no one exactly knows) he could put an Olympic champ to shame. I never knew they were called tree cats but that is certainly appropriate! I think this guy will be for us what Feather is for you - aren't they just the BEST!

What beautiful portraits of this adorable little cutie-pie!! Your story is wonderful!... I'm glad the little guy warmed up to his loving new home and family :) Heaven's blessings for making a difference to an animal in need of love and care :) fv
Carol Senske replied:
Thank you, Darlene! As you know, they give us so much more than we give them. He has us in stitches laughing a lot of the time, and he melts our heart when he climbs into our lap, settles down, and purrs like a motorboat:>)
