Description
Longhorn beetles are characterized by especially long antennae. There are thousands of kinds, and I haven't gotten a specific species name on this one, but a guess would be Orthosoma brunneum. It was around an inch and a half long and a beautiful mahogany color.
The picture was taken July 12, 2010, i Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA.
