Description
MOTH DOE NOW HAS A TENTATIVE AND PRETTY DEFINITE NAME - Four Horned Sphinx or Elm Sphinx, Ceratomia amyntor. IF THAT CHANGES, I'LL CHANGE THE INFO HERE.
BUG GUIDE (THE BEST OF THE BEST WHEN IT COMES TO IDENTIFICATIONS OF NORTH AMERICAN BUGS) SAYS IT IS Laurel Sphinx moth - Hodges#7809 (Sphinx kalmiae).

I thought this might be a Sphinx Moth but I'm unable to find a good identification. I've posted it on Bug Guide (they are GREAT!) and hope for a name in the near future. For now, it will be called "Moth Doe".
It was resting on the wall of the entrance to the Quakertown Farmer's Market, better know as Q'mart to the local populous, on September 5, 2014, Quakertown, Pennsylvania, USA. I took the picture with my little carry along camera, an Olympus Tough, set to Super Macro.

I find I do 2 kinds of photography - one is to document what I find, and one is for the artistic aspect. I saw this moth and had to have it:>) Never had a chance to photograph one before. Thanks for coming by, Jack!
