Description
This picture is mainly for fun and giggles. There is a group of a doe and three of this springtime's babies that regularly visit the "bird yard". In our house we call them the Hoover deer (as in the vacuum cleaner) and they are as bad as the Hoover turkeys! Today was the first time, however, for this brash and trashy behavior. Where is Emily Post when you need her? I didn't figure this into my bird seed budget!
The picture was taken this afternoon (January 30, 2015) in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA, and I used the Canon T4i with a Tamron 18-270 lens, hand-held.
Dedicated to the never-ending laughter that the wildlife around us engenders:>)

Wow!! A unique and delightful capture, MN! I enjoyed reading your amusing description, too. L&F
Carol Senske replied:
They are such fun. This year we've hardly seen any deer and I wonder if last winter's harsh weather, snow and ice cut into the population. I'm glad for the pictures I have:>)

Great photo. Nice to know humans are looking out for them.
Carol Senske replied:
LOL. I put food out, the turkeys come by and everything is gone. I put more food out and the deer come by and everything is gone. I put more food out and finally the birds come:>) Then, at night, the raccoons come and finish up whatever leftovers there are.

You brought sunshine to an icy day, Mariola! Thanks a million for the feature in WILDLIFE - appreciated beyond words:>)

Wowssers, they are really enjoying their lunch here...great photo op...l/f for sure.
Carol Senske replied:
Thank you, Larry! They still come by, and I guess they'll visit until the cold lets up and the snow goes away. We enjoy them.

Lovely capture!!!!! L/F
Carol Senske replied:
Thanks a million, Anand, for your support! The deer are usually quite leery of people but they are hungry right now:>)

I really enjoyed seeing this Carol...so nice of you to feed them....could get very pricey my friend!!! :-)
Carol Senske replied:
I must say if they get too tame we'll need to gentle scare them off by opening a door or something. Being too tame is a death sentence around here with all the hunters - wild things must remain wild things:>) A little help now and then to see them through the mean months is okay, I think. I'd be so tickled if you'd come visit my blog. It's focused on nature and I think you might enjoy it. http://mothernature2014.blogspot.com/ Thank you a thousand times over for your support and kind words:>)

Love this feast!! So sweet.

LOL = One of the other little ones decided to try the same trick then chickened out with only the front part on the table. They are a hoot!
