Description
My name for this cutie is the "Green Eraser Mushroom" - could you guess I haven't been able to ID it properly? This picture was taken June 27, 2012, along the bank of the Unami Creek in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA.

Unusual find! V/F

I wish I could get a firm identification for it, but a mushroom without a name is still a mushroom and therefore of interest to me:>) Thank you for dropping in and commenting, and many thanks for the support!

mushrooms abound right now.. we are in our rainy season and they can pop up over night.. I love the ones you sent me.. hope they went in a book.. v/f/fb
Carol Senske replied:
I envy you all your mushrooms! Ours are somewhat more numerous in the last couple weeks, but I'm missing many that should be showing up. Strange weather. Some are in a book, some not - the book would be HUGE because I've gotten probably well over 100 different mushrooms with more to be found and very few are ID'd - that makes me feel awful and I don't really like posting them if I can't ID them. So many just sitting and waiting! Hey - thanks for the marvelous comment and all that V/F/FB support!!!

It has some aspects of a Boletus but I've not found a really positive ID yet. If I do, I'll make the info part of the title and description.

These are interesting little mushrooms found a family of them once - never did find out what they are. Excellent capture VF
Carol Senske replied:
Aren't they a wonderful mystery! I've looked through field guides and used the internet but cannot make a positive ID - that just means more looking . . . thanks for visiting, Bob!
