Description
These beautiful butterflies have silver, shining spots on their underwings. This one is enjoying a sip of milkweed nectar.

The photograph was taken May 22, 2013, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA. We grow a garden of milkweed just for the butterflies, but we also get many other beautiful insects, spiders, beetles, etc.

It has rather an odd expression on it's face, something like, "this tastes so good I can't fly away even if I'm unsure of you". Silly bug! Thank you for coming by and commenting, and many thanks for the V/F, too:>)
