Description
I don't find a whole lot of info on these other than that they are generally found in mid to late spring, sit on low vegetation in deciduous woods, may be a form of bee mimic, may eat other insects, may bite people occasionally. I do know they are handsome bugs:>)
They range through the northeast of the USA and into Canada. This picture was taken May 22, 2012, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA.
