Description
This tangle of battered and fraying nylon rope washed ashore and took it's place among the other pieces of plastic litter on the beach.
At least these pieces aren't in the ocean gyres. If you're interested in the plastic floating in our oceans and the currents that are capturing them, check out these sites:

A texture called Aqua Stone from Textureking was used to harden the colors and mood.

Carol Senske replied:
Our oceans are dear to all of us, and this issue of plastic waste is almost silent. People aren't even aware of the gyres, Thank you for your wonderful comment, Jolanta:>), and the V/F are very much appreciated. Enjoy your boating! I'm jealous:>).

Carol, I used to do a lot of boating, and appreciate the rubbish that seems to accumulate in the ocean and rivers. But, I love ropes and your shot is magnificent with wonderful detail and color. V&F
