This is a yellow rose transformed by a texture from Shadowhouse Creations and some Photoshop manipulating. There are a number of versions I've created and they may show up here in a bit.

So beautiful and romantic!
Carol Senske replied:
Roses must have been created to give pleasure (ignoring the thorns which may remind us there is always pain, too, but the good far outweighs the bad). Many thanks, Kathryn

Dear Carol, maybe you do not know that I lost my husband last August... I have not being able to paint visiting family trying to get through my pain...Now that I feel better I want to tell you this because he used to give me a bouquet of flowers every two weeks and your gallery reminds me of his love. It is a beautiful place full of gorgeous flowers like this one. It is incredible beautiful!!! F/V.
Carol Senske replied:
My heart breaks for you - I can't even imagine life without my husband and I can understand why the urge to paint flew out the window for awhile. What a wonderful man he was to give you flowers like that:>) If my gallery can give you some happiness, I am deeply honored, my dear. I am certain you carry him with you all the time and he fills your heart.

Oh my! Carol, you have outdone yourself of this grandiose imagery of this rose of perfection! I love the antiquated look to this piece, and your textures are awesome! Got the big, "Elvis" F/V on this outstanding beauty!

This is amazing, we have photoshop but don't know how to use it. Your rose looks like velvet.
Carol Senske replied:
I am strictly self-taught and have only begun to scratch the surface:>). Everything I learn leads to more questions and possibilities yet there are things I want to do and cannot find anything to help. These difficult things I generally stumble upon an answer at some point, so patience is the word. Thank you for the lovely compliment:>). Like fractals, the options are practically endless and I spend hours messing around and end up with a bunch of images then have to choose just one or two - sigh. I want it all, and I want it now! (Thank you, QUEEN, and Freddie Mercury).

LOVE this. I must need adobe ,have coral. Fascinating to me. Marsha
Carol Senske replied:
Thank you bunches, Marsha! Corel is quite good, I understand, but Photoshop works well with MAC and I began with it and continue to teach myself stuff - a loooooong way to go but having fun:>). I believe you can use textures in Corel but not totally positive. Go to Shadowhouse Creations ( http://shadowhousecreations.blogspot.com/search/label/Tutorial ) and look around. Good luck:>)
