Description
These bugs are not just common, they are legion, If you find milkweed plants you will probably see milkweed bugs, especially in late summer and fall. Their orange and black coloration reminds me of Halloween and Fall, appropriately enough:>) They gather in large numbers. For those of us who grow milkweed in our gardens, they are a mixed blessing. This image is an adult emerging from the last instar (shedding) from the nymphal stage. I was walking the margins of Green Lane Reservoir in Red Hill, Pennsylvania, USA, on October 5, 2014.
I took the picture with a Canon T4i and a Tamron macro lens 90 mm 2.8 1:1
