Description
We love our toads! They eat all sorts of garden pests. They are bumpy but not slimy; they will pee on you if you pick hem up and scare them - that's a defense mechanism.
This photo was taken in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA, on June 8, 2017. The camera was a Canon T4i paired with a Tamron 90 mm macro lens.

Carol Senske replied:
It was a hot day and he wanted to just sit in his puddle without some round, gray-haired old lady bothering him! LOL. I hope he didn't pee in his pool, he was so determined not to leave:>) . Thanks for dropping in, Linda:>)

Oh, I just love this!!! And he does look very grouchy, lol!!! Fantastic light and textures, and the b&w is perfect!! :)))vf
Carol Senske replied:
LOL - He was sitting in a puddle in a rock next to the gaarden, and he wasn't moving for anything! Even I didn't scare him. It was his pool and that was that - :>) I'm so pleased you like the B&W picture! Thanks. I just deeactivated my FB account - hardly ever go there and it was more a bother than anything. I'll miss seeing your sales though. You deserve every one:>)
