My husband surprised me with a day trip to Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge yesterday. We hoped for tons of shore birds to be there on their way south, but not many birds were about. We'll try again in May 2015:>)
I did get some pictures I like; the salt marsh is absolutely beautiful this time of year. This picture is tone-mapped in Photomatix Pro.
The camera used was a Canon T4i paired with a Tamron wide angle lens - October 2, 2015.
Dedicated to the wonders of our natural areas! Let's keep them for generations to come:>)

Thanks, Linda. My husband drove me all the way to this refuge thinking I'd get wonderful shots of migrating shore birds. Turns out the weather wasn't great and the birds weren't there. It was still a terrific day away and I got a few pictures, too.
