Description
The American Bullfrog is probably the most easily recognized and widely beloved frog in the USA. Kids love to capture them, people eat their legs (please don't), and children gather the eggs, watch them hatch into tadpoles then morph into frogs. Bullfrogs are solitary by nature and have territories they fiercely defend except in springtime when they mate. They are famous for eating anything they can fit into their mouths - hungry all the time! Although they are out and about during daylight hours, they are most active at night. Bullfrogs are noisy, loud singers filling the evening with their croaking.
