Description
These are large, bright yellow mushrooms that are commonly found in lawns, especially under pine trees. There are about 600 species of Amanita, some edible, many not. They are responsible for around 95% of fatal mushroom poisonings, of which the Death Cap comes in at around 50% all by itself. There are psychedelic properties to some that temp people to experiment - DON'T! Liver failure and kidney failure are painful and even deadly!
Enjoy these beautiful mushrooms where they grow, Leave the picking and eating to experts!
