The Center for Disease Control has recommended the use of cloth face masks to help fight the spread of COVID-19.
This face mask is made from 100% polyester and includes two ear loops with adjustable grommets for a comfortable fit.
The printed area of the mask is approximately 7" wide by 5" tall. This mask fits well on adult mens' faces without the grommets but, due to the adjustable grommets, can be worn snuggly by adult women, as well.
Please note - this is NOT a surgical grade mask. It is not intended for any medical or commercial uses, whatsoever. It is a simple, cloth mask designed for everyday use to cover your mouth when out in public. The mask should not be used in any medical or surgical setting.
We make no warranties that the mask prevents infections or the transmission of viruses or diseases.

The pink lady's slipper orchid (Cypripedium acaule) is a beautiful, wild orchid that thrives in well-drained, moist, semi-shaded soils. It almost always fails transplant attempts because it requires a symbiotic relationship with a fungus to live. Picking the flowers means it will not propagate as the flowers must cycle completely for successful propagation. In other words, if you find them, enjoy them where they grow and leave them alone to grow another year.
There is a yellow version that I've never seen.
This picture was taken on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA, on May 20, 2011, in Barnstable County.
Here's a little more info on these beautiful wildflowers:

I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....

Lovely ! And it's so nice it decided to grow against such a poetic background, the ones I spot are always surrounded by dead leaves. f.v ;-)
Carol Senske replied:
That was very considerate of it:>) Many were growing with dead leaves but this one was waiting for a person with a camera! LOL. Thanks for everything, Cori:>)
Sharon Burger
These are lovely, green rich mossy inviting colors to enjoy while shivering in Colorado.. beautiful Carol. Truly
Carol Senske replied:
I hope you're not shivering too badly. It's just about 80 here right now (too hot!). You always make me smile, Sharon. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the sweet comment. Happy weekend:>)

Phenomenal shot on this beauty, Carol! I just love the florals, but the moss and bark on the tree for your background, really kicks it into gear!!!! Wow! Love it! You get the big, "Elvis" F/V on this wondrous beauty!
Carol Senske replied:
My, goodness, Randy - You have me "All Shook Up"! :>)

Your welcome! and I love the as is, where is! Like the dirt still on the leaves and the fallen dead leaves on the ground . But the moss makes me feel like I can actually feel how soft it is!
Elizabeth Doran
I just love how untouched this piece is! Orchids are my favorite flower of all time but I would never buy one to have in my home because like you said it They belong outside in nature
Carol Senske replied:
Hi, Elizabeth:>). Thank you kindly for the sweet comment. I began photographing everything "as is, where is" and still rarely touch or move anything. I do process things more than I used to, but try to have the original available as well. This is "as is, where is":>).
