AARK is a rescue organization in our area. They rehabilitate animals of all sorts and twice a year they have an open house. Some animals are not able to be returned to the wild, but many are. This handsome boy was brought in to show people; he was not a rehab bird but rather a falconer's bird. Gorgeous animal!

What a wonderful portrait! Clearly he's up for an audience. What a look! Magnificent catch Carol. We have a bird sanctuary nearby also. Sometimes it's sad to see these bird unable to be free! F/L++ Glad to know this one is not rehab!

Thanks:>). He was a magnificent bird and rather nervous with the crowd. I asked permission to take a picture because of the click of the shutter. Later I saw any number of folks crowded in and clicking away while the eagle looked about skittishly, looking ready to try to take off. The lady pleaded for the crowd to be aware, but all her pleas seemed to fall on deaf ears.
